Privacy Policy

This page explains what BookIntel stores about you, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do. BookIntel is a research tool for book authors; we do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we store
- Account data: your email address, your display name, your chosen marketplace and time zone, and your plan.
- Your workspace: the books and keywords you track, your keyword lists, and your support messages.
- Usage records: which research tools you ran and when, so we can apply your plan's limits and protect the service from abuse.
- Session cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- A count of visits to our public pages: the page opened and the site the visitor came from. It is not linked to a person: no IP address, device details or identifier is stored with it.
- If you arrive through an affiliate link, the referral code, so the referrer can be credited.
What we do not store
- Text you paste into a writing tool is sent to a processing provider only to produce the result. We do not keep it in our database or cache.
- Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in readable form.
- Some tools run entirely in your browser (for example the Description Formatter, KDP Keyword Builder drafts and BookIntel Create projects). That data stays on your device.
Who handles your data for us
- Cloud infrastructure providers: host our website, database and sign-in service.
- Processing providers: process the text you submit to writing tools, and public market data, to produce results.
- Our web hosting provider: serves the application.
- PayPal: processes subscription payments. We do not receive your card number; PayPal tells us only whether your subscription is active, which plan it is and when it renews.
- Amazon product and search data shown in our tools is public marketplace information. It is not personal data about you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and workspace until you ask us to delete them. Aggregated, non-personal market observations (for example the rank of a book in a category) may be kept because they are not about you.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete your account and workspace. Send the request through Support inside your account, or email support@bookintel.online, and we will answer within a reasonable time.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app.
